RESNET Certified HERS Rater

Certified HERS rater, certified to conduct both home energy audits and home energy ratings. As per RESNET's standards, this requires taking building science classes throughout the year, to ensure that energy audits and home energy ratings utilize the latest science and technology to provide the best and most effective information available.

National Comfort Institute

Certified residential air balancing and diagnostic technician.  System pressures, filter resistance, fan airflow, temperatures, coolingsystem BTU delivery, and the effective 'system efficiency' are all covered areas of this training and are designed to maintain technical knowledge of complex systems designed to keep you comfortable.  We're the home performance experts so you don't have to be.

Mechanical Engineering Foundation

Unlike many HVAC service companies, 1t Choice Energy is built on a mechanical engineering foundation that is folded into everything we do. Our founder and owner, David Malone, earned a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from University of Texas - Austin after receiving his BA from Baylor University. With the expanded knowledge and experience that mechanical engineering adds to our toolkit, we feel confident we can find a good solution for your home or business!
